Running Kiddos Now Supports Google and Microsoft Sign-In

April 2026 · 2 min read

We know PE teachers are busy. The last thing you need is another password to remember. That's why Running Kiddos now supports Sign in with Google and Sign in with Microsoft — on both the web app and the mobile app.

Why This Matters

Most schools already use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for email, documents, and everything else. Your teachers already have an account. Now they can use that same account to sign into Running Kiddos — no separate password, no password reset emails, no "I forgot my login" on the first day of school.

One tap. That's it. Click "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Microsoft," pick your school account, and you're in.

How It Works

On the web app (app.runningkiddos.com):

On the mobile app (iOS & Android):

For new schools signing up:

Which School Accounts Work?

Any Google or Microsoft account works, including:

What About Existing Accounts?

If you already have a Running Kiddos account with an email and password, nothing changes. You can still sign in the old way. But if your existing email matches a Google or Microsoft account, you can switch to SSO anytime — just click the Google or Microsoft button instead of typing your password.

Security

We never see or store your Google or Microsoft password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google or Microsoft — Running Kiddos only receives your name and email address after you approve the sign-in. This is the same standard (OAuth 2.0) used by thousands of apps.

For IT Administrators

If your district manages Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your teachers can sign into Running Kiddos without any IT configuration. No SAML setup, no identity provider integration needed. Teachers just use their existing school credentials.

If you need to restrict which apps your teachers can access, Running Kiddos uses standard OAuth — you can manage access through your Google Admin Console or Microsoft Entra admin center.
